USA Basketball has announced that Breanna Stewart, Moriah Jefferson and Morgan Tuck , UConn’s three incoming freshmen. are among the 26 players invited to attend the U-18 trials at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colo. May 19-21.
The trials begin with two sessions May 19. The 12-member team is expected to be announced May 21.
The team will then hold its first training camp at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Fla. May 28-June 2 before returning to the U.S. Olympic Training Center for its final training camp Aug. 3-12.
The FIBA Americas U-18 Championship will be held in San Juan, Puerto Rico Aug. 15-19.
