Meaingless regular season game.
Meeting Baylor in the regular season and playing ND three times before the NCAA’s leaves few surprises, It would be great to win all five of these potential contests, particularly the last one, but the odds aren’t good. However, if someone can stop Diggins from going to her left and McBride from muscling in close, we’ve got as good a chance, maybe better, than anybody.
Diggins and McBride are excellent players with lots of experience. Diggins is very fast and tricky. She has a few “tells” and one is when she attacks the basket with a big being guarded by another big will throw the wrap around pass almost every time.
I was hoping Banks and or Mo Jeff would be fast enough to stay between Diggy and the basket. Keep her from using her dominant left hand. So far they haven’t met the challeng. Farist isn’t fast enough to guard Diggy or McBride. No insult just a fact.
Both ND and Uconn will be will be better prepared for the NCAA tournament as a result of playing against each other at the end of the season.

The Baylor game is not “meaningless”. It’s a measureing tool, as was the ND game. It gives Geno and his staff a “talking point” to his players. I will be a game where the film is used to point out how to handle Sims, Williams, Pope and Griner.
Maybe just maybe–when Uconn meets them in the final 4 Uconn will come out the winner.
Geno this time of the year puts out a lot of smoke. The cloud may cover personnel injuries or give ND/Baylor the impression a key player won’t be available for the game.
Geno is the real Master Mind.
