WNBA Retirees Join Male Peers

  The National Basketball Retired Players Association announced Tuesday that it has invited its sisters from the WNBA to join the organization.

Already with over 600 members representing the NBA, ABA and Harlem Globetrotters, the NBRPA welcomed Cynthia Cooper-Dyke, Nikki McCray, Carla McGhee, Dawn Staley, Sheryl Swoopes, Penny Toler and Teresa Weatherspoon.

Former NBA great Otis Birdsong is the NBRPA’s Chairman of the Board of an organization which players with their post-career transition and showing them how to impact communities though involvement with youth basketball.
