We are still waiting for the official announcement of the Connecticut Sun’s deal with CPTVSports to telecast a number of its games this season. The ink is still drying on the legalese. I touched it Monday. Still wet.

But one thing we do know is that Kara Wolters, the former UConn All-American, Olympian and WNBA center, and current UConn women game analyst on WTIC-1080, is set to be a part of the broadcast team.

Wolters said Monday she will be working at least six of the telecasts with a still unnamed play-by-play man. She was at last night’s Sun-Liberty game last night to begin getting acquainted with the players and the league.

CPTVSports executives have also been around the Sun lately getting the lay of the land. So once the deal is announced – and it should be within days – fans of women’s basketball will have another way to stay connected in the summertime.
